How it works

From first hello to the final goodbye, here is the whole au pair journey, step by step. We take care of the paperwork, so you can focus on each other.

  1. FamilyAu pair

Step 1: Say hello: you both register

Families and au pairs create a profile with photos, a short video and, for au pairs, a CV. It's free to sign up.

  2. FamilyAu pair

Step 2: Browse, shortlist and meet

Families browse profiles and shortlist favourites. You hold your own video or in-person interviews to get to know each other.

  3. FamilyAu pair

    Step 3: It's a match

When it feels right on both sides, you confirm the match and we take it from there.

  4. We handle it

Step 4: Identity and passport check

Before anything is signed, we verify the au pair's identity and passport, so everyone can sign with confidence.

Step 5: Your contract, written and signed

We draft the au pair agreement and both of you sign it. Our service fee, paid by Klarna or card, starts here.

  6. We helpAu pair

    Step 6: Residence permit application

For au pairs from outside the EU, an application to Migrationsverket is still needed. We prepare the documents and guide you through it. Migrationsverket decides, and processing times vary.

  7. Au pairFamily

Step 7: Permit approved: time to travel

Once the permit is approved, your au pair plans the trip and arrives in Sweden. A warm welcome awaits.

  8. Au pairFamily

Step 8: Your au pair starts

Settling in, new routines and the start of a great year together.

  9. FamilyWe handle it

Step 9: Monthly pocket money, made easy

Each month you pay your au pair directly, as their employer. We send a reminder and prepare the pay records and receipts, ready for Skatteverket.

Step 10: A happy ending: closure

At the end of the stay, we wrap up with final pay records and the reporting you need, so nothing is left hanging.

Every month, made easy

  1. A friendly reminder. We email you when the pocket money is due.
  2. You pay your au pair directly. As the employer, your family pays the pocket money straight to your au pair. We never hold or pass on that money.
  3. Pay records and receipts, ready for you. We prepare a pay record and receipt showing the pocket money, month and period, ready for Skatteverket.
  4. Our service fee, by Klarna or card. Klarna or card is only used for our own fee, never for the pocket money.

Your family remains the employer and pays the au pair. We prepare the paperwork so it's simple to keep in order.

Simple, transparent pricing. Details in terms.
