Terms and conditions

1. Who we are

AuPairMatch.se is provided by Lyon AM AB, org.nr 559281-8677, Sweden. These terms are governed by Swedish law. All prices include 25% VAT (moms).

2. Who pays

Only families pay. Au pairs never pay anything (lag 1993:440, §6). Signing up is free and creates no obligation. Matching is free. Nothing is owed until an au pair agreement is signed through the platform. Before the agreement is signed, we verify the chosen au pair's identity and passport.

3. Prices

• Platform plan: a monthly service fee of 10% of the pocket money, paid by the family to us by Klarna or card. The family pays the pocket money itself directly to the au pair; we never hold or transfer it.
• Hiring fee, au pair from outside the EU (includes the permit package): 4,000 SEK.
• Hiring fee, EU au pair: 2,500 SEK.

4. Our guarantees

• Replacement: if the placement ends within 3 months, we help you find a replacement au pair.
• Permit refused: if the residence permit is refused and it is not the family's fault, we refund 50% of the permit package fee.

5. Ending the platform plan

You can end the platform plan with 30 days' notice. If you end it early, an exit fee of up to 3,500 SEK may apply to cover costs we have actually had. The exit fee goes down evenly each month (by about 583 SEK per month) and is zero after 6 months. No exit fee is charged if the placement ends, if the au pair leaves, or if we have broken these terms.

6. Right of withdrawal (ångerrätt)

Under the Distance Contracts Act (distansavtalslagen, lag 2005:59) you have 14 days to withdraw. The 14 days start on the day you sign the paid contract. Free signup is not a paid contract and creates no obligation.

If you want us to start the permit work during the 14 days, you can ask for this by ticking a box (it is never ticked in advance). If you then withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount for the work already done. Your right of withdrawal ends when the service is fully performed, which for the permit package means when the permit application has been submitted to Migrationsverket.

To withdraw, use the Cancel contract (Ångra avtal) button, which confirms immediately, or send us the standard withdrawal form below.

7. The au pair agreement

We are a marketplace. The au pair is a private person, not a business. Consumer law does not cover the agreement between the family and the au pair. Our service to the family is covered by consumer law.

8. Privacy (GDPR)

Lyon AM AB is the data controller. We use your details only to match au pairs and families and to run the service. Marketing emails are sent only if you opted in. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. You can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

9. Complaints and disputes

Contact us first at [email protected]. If we cannot agree, you can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), arn.se. Disputes are decided under Swedish law by Swedish courts.
